This site is pg-13, though we do allow some swearing as long as it is not excessive or aimed at another member.
Whether on the forum or in a game godmodding and powerplaying is not allowed. Powerplaying is controlling another persons character, especially when it occurs during a fight. In the same line of thought godmodding is when you act as a mod when you are not.
We understand that life is crazy most of the time, but please do try to be active. We ask that you post at least once every two weeks, and attend any games when possible. If you're going to be away for awhile please let us know in the introductions thread.
Please respect your fellow members. Any in-character drama has to stay in character. Please know going into this that we accept lgtbqa+ characters, and any homophobia/racism/transphobia/ectra. is not accepted in the least.
Along with the above, please keep political, religious, or otherwise controversial topics off the forum and out of the chatbox.
We ask that you try to use correct grammar/spelling while on site. Since spelling and grammar is harder to maintain in-game we hope to keep it on site.
Please try to give your characters a decent amount of flaws. Nobody is perfect and sugar-coated!
We aim to be realistic to some degree. Meaning, yes the wolves 'talk' and have slightly more human-esc behavior, but no they aren't allowed to be blue/red, or have rainbow eyes or wings. So pretty much with appearances--if you wouldn't see it in the wild, don't have your character look like it.
For now we have a three-character-per-person max. You don't have to make three characters, but if you feel that you can keep them relatively active then you're welcome to.
This is a small, but important, note on combat, both in-game and on-forum. To prevent both powerplaying and overpowered characters we ask that you try and keep it more open-ended when attacking. Which sounds odd, so here's an example with a random wolf:
How not to roleplay:
Wolf: she sunk her teeth into his leg, and felt it break.
A better way to do it:
Wolf: she snapped at his leg, aiming to sink her teeth into it.
The second option leaves it up more-so to the wolf being attacked to decide whether or not they dodge, the attack lands, and how much damage is done. Which also brings us to this: always dodging attacks will be considered as over-powered. Just use your common sense, words like 'aim', 'attempted', 'tried', ectra. during combat, and realize that if your wolf gets into a fight there's a high chance of them getting hurt, and you should be fine!
